We would like to thank Waseda’s International Community Center for hosting the first ever Discussion Café collaboration of January 18, between TMDU and Waseda students. This day’s high-level topic of “Globalization: Healthcare & Society” was embraced by all members present; creating a wonderful environment for very active discussions. In the reflection section of the activity, students had a chance to share and challenge each other’s many well-thought-out conclusions. This event was a very good chance for Japanese and International students from a wide range of majors to gather and share their ideas. Next time we hope even more participants will be able to join and exercise their critical thinking skills and English in such a rich and diverse environment.
