For Session 9 of the Fundamentals in Global Health course, we invited Dr. Stewart Geary, M.D., Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Eisai Co., Ltd. for an interactive lecture on access to medicine. Students had lively discussions on the difficulties involved in drug development and distribution of new drugs around the world. It was very fulfilling to see them use all of their past learning plus the new information from this evening to think deeply and express their opinions concerning this topic.
