We have been holding a series of events called “Find-Your-Role-Model” Sessions to provide students with opportunities to interact with alumni and global leaders in healthcare sciences. Through these roundtable-style, informal events, we hope students will find role models to help facilitate their career development and become future global leaders.

     For this session, we are pleased to introduce Dr. Koji Nagura, a graduate of Hokkaido University School of Medicine, who currently serves as a Medical Officer at the Embassy of Japan in Serbia.
After graduating from the Hokkaido University School of Medicine in 2005, Dr. Nagura completed his initial residency at Sakai Municipal Hospital (current Sakai City Medical Center) and went on to specialize in general medicine and oncology at Kameda Medical Center. Since then, he has been active for many years as a general practitioner at institutions such as Sakai Municipal Hospital, Kanto Rosai Hospital, Rinku General Medical Center, and the Osaka General Medical Center, providing care in departments including Emergency and General Medicine, Infectious Diseases, and　 International Healthcare. Furthermore, since 2023, he has served as a Medical Attaché for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the Embassy of Japan in East Timor and in Serbia.
