21st “Find-Your-Role-Model” Session (5th in 2015 Series)

We have been holding a series of events called “Find-Your-Role-Model” Session to provide students with opportunities to interact with TMDU alumni and world-wide leaders in health sciences. Through this roundtable-type, relaxed atmosphere event, we hope students will be able to find their role models in order to facilitate their career development in becoming future global leaders.

In the fifth Find-Your-Role-Model session of academic year 2015 we will be hosting Professor Sara Rankin. She has a first class hons degree and PhD in Pharmacology from Kings College London. She held post-doctoral positions in the Department of Medicine, UCSD and at Imperial Cancer Research Fund UK before joining the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London in 1995. Her research has focused on understanding the role of bone marrow in inflammatory diseases and elucidating the molecular mechanisms regulating the exit of leukocytes and stem cells from the bone marrow. Professor Rankin is also Institute leader for Public Engagement. This session will be carried out in a round-table discussion format, and will cover the following points. Everyone is welcome to join us in a hearty discussion.
