HSLP_150113

Eight graduate students who study in the Disease Prevention Global Leader Program (DP-GLP) joined January 13 LHS1 session and studied together with sixteen undergraduate HSLP students. Topic of the session was LEADERSHIP, which both HSLP and DP-GLP are fundamentally all about. A challenging case of leadership in the healthcare sector from Harvard Business School was used with an inductive approach. Through group- and class-wide discussion, students successfully came up with the personal traits or attributes, behaviors, and practices necessary for effective leaders, many of which were in line with contemporary leadership theories. Both undergraduate and graduate students actively participated and contributed to the understanding of leadership. Through the session, they all took a first step on her/his own leadership development.
