HSLP welcomes 13 new students

Our HSLP community is excited to welcome the 2021 student cohort of 13 first-year students! The annual Health Sciences Leadership Program Matriculation Ceremony was held on Tuesday, October 5th, via Zoom. During the ceremony, TMDU faculty from the Institute of Global Affairs, the Liberal Arts and Sciences Department, the Faculties of Medicine and Dentistry, and Schools of Health Care Sciences and Oral Health Care Sciences all spoke about the importance of global leadership studies and congratulated the incoming class about the valuable opportunity they have been given as part of this special program. Prof. Takada, director of the program, spoke about HSLP’s goal to “produce leaders who improve the health status of people all over the world through innovation in health sciences”. Kentaro Harada, a fifth-year HSLP dental student, encouraged the incoming cohort to take advantage of the opportunities in HSLP for personal growth. All HSLP community members would like to warmly welcome our new members and congratulate them on their acceptance into the program!
